The 2016 IEEE International Conference on System Science and Engineering will be held from July 7 through July 9 in Nantou County, Taiwan. The conference is jointly organized by National Chi Nan University (NCNU) and Taiwan Association of System Science and Engineering (TASSE). It is sponsored by IEEE Systems, Man, and Cybernetics Society, National Taiwan University of Science & Technology, and partially supported by the Ministry of Science & Technology, Taiwan. The 3-day conference aims to promote exchanges of ideas among experts in the scope of system science and engineering, and related fields. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore NCNU's beautiful campus and scenic destinations of Nantou County.

You will need the Conference ID to create an account and log in, which is: 39244X.

Conference Aim & Objectives:

System Science and Engineering has emerged as a research field that covers a wide spectrum of modern technology. A system can be considered as a collection of entities and their interrelationships gathered together to form a whole greater than the sum of the entities. It also involves people, organizations, cultures, activities and interrelationships among them. While systems composed of autonomous subsystems are not new, increased data density, connectivity and ubiquitous computational resources have increased their interdependence and interaction complexity. This has in turn made the already difficult job of planning, developing and deploying complex systems even more difficult.

Technology advancement not only provides opportunities for improving system capabilities but also introduces development risks that must be weighed and managed. Thus, it is our goal to bring together scholars from all areas to have a forum to discuss, demonstrate and exchange research ideas in the scope of system science and engineering.

*IJFS Special Session: This conference features a special session for the International Journal of Fuzzy Systems (IJFS, with SCI Impact factor =1.095). Papers accepted for presentation at this special session will be judged by a panel of Associate Editors of IFJS. Qualifying papers thereof will be accepted for publication in a post-conference special issue of IJFS, subject to revisions as may be required by the judges. Authors wishing to contribute to this special issue are invited to submit their work to the IJFS Special Session at the conference.
